He is the author of the best-sellers What Went Wrong: Western Impact and Middle Eastern Response and The Crisis of Islam: Holy War and Unholy Terror. He's got performed the invaluable service of placing current events inside context of history. Lewis has advised policymakers within the U.S., UK, along with the Middle East about the complex relationship between Islam and the West.
